Champagne Valentin Leflaive is an exciting new venture from Olivier Leflaive from Puligny-Montrachet.
An innovative project which brings together the expertise and traditions of Burgundy and Champagne, it reflects a trend towards more site-specific champagnes. Offering a unique interpretation of the region’s terroir, each cuvée has a special code on the label; the letters refer to the terroir while the numbers indicate the year of the base wine and the dosage.
For example, in the Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs CV1750 ‘CV’ stands for Cramant and Vertus, ‘17’ is the year of the base wine and ‘50’ refers to 5.0g of sugar per litre.

A delightful Blanc de Blancs Champagne from Vertus Premier Cru (52%), Bergères les Vertus Premier Cru (27%) and Cramant Grand Cru (21%), the CV1750 has a bright bouquet of citrus lemon fruits and white flowers. On the palate, refreshing green apple flavours lead to a long biscuity finish. Elegant and invigorating, this is the perfect aperitif champagne.

A classic expression of this famous Grand Cru.
