We are delighted to announce the release of Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2013.
Created in 1952 in honour of the Comtes de Champagne, Taittinger’s Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs is made exclusively from Chardonnay from Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs. The best 2013s from the Côte des Blancs are ‘drop-dead gorgeous’ says Antonio Galloni. Champagnes from low yielding sites ‘show tremendous concentration, depth and power allied to bright acidities, a version of 2008 but with more mid-palate richness’ he adds.
Only the very best cuvées are used in the production of Comtes de Champagne. A superb vintage, the 2013 shows extraordinary energy and intensity. Vivacious citrus and bright stone fruit notes are supported by a fine mineral note leading to an explosive finish.
The Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2013 is available en primeur. Limited availability. Stock expected Spring 2024.

Lemon confit, dried flowers, chamomile, spice and crushed rocks all race across the palate. Passionfruit, ginger, marzipan and mint appear later, filling out the layers beautifully.
