We are delighted to offer you a small parcel of Petit Cheval Blanc 2020, only the second release of this exceptional white wine from the iconic Château Cheval Blanc.
‘Petit Cheval Blanc reflects the elegance and complexity of its noble origins’ says the Château. A wine of great aromatic complexity with notes of fresh apple, lemon and grapefruit zest, the palate shows incredible elegance and intensity with subtle floral and citrus characters.
A classic white Bordeaux blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Sémillon, Petit Cheval Blanc reflets a unique vision. The grapes come from 12 different plots, on sandy and clay soils, containing no fewer than six different clones of Sauvignon Blanc and three of Sémillon. The wine is matured in large (1,500-3,000 litre) oak vats from Austria, Sancerre and Burgundy which add an aromatic component to the bouquet without overwhelming the complexity of the wine.
This is an incredible wine and we anticipate strong demand. Quantities are limited.

‘The fruity nose features hints of apple, pear, bergamot, lemon, and grapefruit zest. There are also nuances of lychee, mango, passion fruit, as well as white flowers, lime blossom, and flowers….Petit Cheval Blanc is tremendously fresh, vivacious, crunchy, and juicy. This great white wine has an impressively long aftertaste and a real presence, but also a certain reserve. It is full, generous, and rich on the middle palate. There is no hardness or any metallic hint to upset the harmony.
