One of England’s finest sparkling wine producers, Exton Park sits in beautiful chalk hills in the South Downs. Rivalling the very best that Champagne has to offer, we are delighted to bring you their wonderful RB23 Brut Rosé and their exceptional RB32 Brut Reserve.
Exton Park is known for the complexity of its traditional (champagne) method wines. A single vineyard, each plot is vinified separately to retain the variety of flavours that make up the final blends.
This year marks the release of the Reserve Blend Range, a unique project pioneered by head winemaker Corinne Seely. Each cuvée is blended from a library of reserve wines built up over ten years ensuring that every bottle is the purest possible expression of the house style. The number of wines in the blend is shown on the label, an astonishing 32 different wines for the RB32. Once bottled, each cuvée is cellared for at least 3 years.
A wine which takes your breath away, says Tamlyn Currin in Jancisrobinson.com, the Brut Rosé is a delightful blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier. The two varieties are pressed very gently to create a very subtle, dry Rosé style with scented floral and wild strawberry notes.
‘So seemingly effortless, so graceful (and) so exquisite’ the Brut Reserve is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. Immediately appealing with a fine mousse, delicate citrus and green apple flavours are supported by a biscuity mineral character making this the perfect aperitif and a delicious combination with a variety of foods including white meats and smoked trout.

‘Bright, bright lemon yellow. I can smell the chalk. Wildflowers. The smell of thick lemon peel as you slice it with a sharp knife and the oils fill the air.
