Damian Carrington Appointed to Managing Director

Looking to the future, with his robust and measured leadership, commitment to the team and passion for the business demonstrated since joining Bancroft Wines in October 2020, Damian Carrington has accepted the role of Managing Director, further to Jon Worsley’s resignation.

Damian Carrington joined Bancroft following 12 years at Fields, Morris & Verdin/Berry Bros & Rudd. He has been in the wine trade all of his working life including stints at Oddbins, Harrods and Enotria. Damian is a proven business leader with deep experience in wine and luxury markets.

“Jon Worsley has been instrumental in taking the Company forward in line with its ambitious growth plans” says Peter De Haan, Chairman, “we thank him for his leadership.”

Damian will be implementing a strategy to deliver sustained, profitable, long-term growth with a view to ensure the best use of current resources across the team and consider new appointments.

Peter De Haan says of the appointment: “Damian Carrington has put forward his envisaged new structure placing Bancroft in an even greater position of strength,” adding “this is an exciting time at Bancroft, for our producers and our team.”

“I am confident that our portfolio and our team are well positioned within the competitive marketplace” says Damian Carrington. “I am thrilled to continue to make a meaningful impact at the Company as Managing Director.”
