Entrepreneurial duo Shashi and Livia Tiwari recently stepped into the wine industry. They have embraced the history of the land and their shared passion for wine to create Tiwari House. Their knowledge and love for the surrounding area of Lake Balaton shines through in their wines, where they have acquired 13 hectares of vineyards with old vines up to 70 years old in PDO Badacsony.

The vineyards are planted to rare indigenous varieties Budai Zöld and Kéknyelu, as well as better known varieties Kefrankos, Olazsrizling (Welschriesling), Syrah and Pinot Noir. Tiwari House farms organically and biodynamically and the estate is working towards achieving organic certification within the next three years.

Tiwari House focuses on sparkling wine production using both Charmat and Traditional Methods. The resultant wines are pure expressions of the terroir, and a delight to drink.
