Domaine des Deux Roches
MÂCONNAIS, BURGUNDY
Domaine Deux Roches is based in the village of Davayé, in the Mâconnais, and is jointly owned by Jean-Luc Terrier and Christian Collovray. Their 50 hectares of vineyards largely lie between the twin escarpments of Solutré and Vergisson and showcase the diverse terroirs of this region. The wines of Deux Roches are known for their drinkability and offer great value for money, particularly their excellent Saint-Véran.
Christian and Jean-Luc grew up in winemaking families and were childhood friends. They became closer still when they later married sisters Brigitte and Florence, also from a winemaking family. Following the success of Deux Roches, the friends now also boast a second property, Domaine d`Altugnac in the Languedoc.
Always looking to achieve the highest possible quality for their wines, they were awarded the High Environmental Certification in 2017 and are now working towards becoming certified organic. They produce a range of wines including Bourgogne Blanc, Mâcon-Villages, Saint-Véran, Saint-Véran Les Terres Noires and Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes.
