Casa Santos Lima is a fifth-generation, family-owned winery located north of Lisbon, dedicated to crafting wines that capture the freshness, balance, and character of the Lisboa region. Shaped by the Atlantic climate and the region’s limestone soils, the Adega de Lisboa range celebrates native Portuguese grape varieties such as Arinto, Fernão Pires, and Castelão.
The wines reflect a modern style, marked by ripe, expressive fruit, bright acidity, and a strong sense of regional identity. At the heart of Casa Santos Lima’s philosophy lies a commitment to sustainable vineyard practices and meticulous and consistent winemaking.
The company’s story began in Alenquer, around 45 kilometres north of Lisbon, where its vineyards enjoy abundant sunshine and cooling Atlantic breezes. Today, Casa Santos Lima stands as the largest producer of both Vinho Regional Lisboa and DOC Alenquer, continuing to represent the essence of this distinctive terroir.
Founded by Joaquim Santos Lima in the late 19th century, the estate is proud to remain family-owned and has expanded its presence to seven wine regions across Portugal, carrying forward a legacy of excellence, authenticity, and innovation.
