This high-quality 20 hectare domaine is run by Jean-Michel Masson alongside his family, where they produce classic Pouilly-Fumé wines. They adopt a minimal intervention approach both in the vineyard (where they do not use any pesticides or herbicides) and in the cellar, where they limit the use of sulphur and stabilise their wines as naturally as possible. The grapes used for the Villa Paulus are from vines grown on a Kimmeridgian marl that has a high content of organic matter. As a result of careful vineyard management and winemaking practices this yields a wine with excellent balance and minerality.
