Domaine Guy Amiot was founded in 1920 and is now run by brothers Thierry and Fabrice who represent the fourth generation. Located in Chassagne, the domaine comprises of 4 hectares of village and 4 hectares of 1er Cru vineyards as well as a row or two of Le Montrachet. Thierry uses modern techniques to make traditional styled wines which respect vintage character and terroir. All cuvées are treated with 30% new oak for 12 months. Thierry's wines combine richness, elegance, aromatic complexity and ageing potential. They are exemplary white wines that remain mystifyingly slightly under the radar but show a superb interplay of fruit, extract, minerality, and ultimately, great balance. They are stylish but restrained and their top 1er Crus are dynamite.
