A small family-owned property located on the Right Bank in Pomerol, Château Bellegrave was acquired by Jean Bouldy in 1951. Today the property is managed by his grandson, Jean-Marie Bouldy and his family. The vineyards extend over ten hectares of gravelly soil of which 75% is planted to Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. Respectful of the environment, the estate has been producing organic certified organic wines since 2009. Classically made with excellent ageing potential, Jean-Marie holds vintages back until he believes that they are ready to drink.
