Sylvaner Vieilles Vignes, Domaine Ostertag 2020
A very beautiful atypical Sylvaner. We love it’s balance and dashing energy. From vines agreed aged between 50 -75 years old, planted on a dozen plots of the town of Epfig, with very varied soils. After aging for almost a year in vats, this Sylvaner displays a profile that is both fresh and fleshy. The bouquet is pure and expressive, with notes of white flowers, chervil, pear and white peach, complemented by a more exotic touch reminiscent of grapefruit. The imprint of the soil brings here a fine salinity and a delicate bitterness, evoking fresh almonds and citrus skins.
