Il Barbarossa Malanotte, La Cantina Pizzolato 2013
To classify for the Malanotte DOCG (appellation) Il Barbarossa is made from the Raboso grape variety, of which 30% have been left on wooden cases to dry out and concentrate for 90 days, before ageing for a minimum of 3 years before release. Aromas of black cherry and berries, strong notes of liquorice, pepper and tobacco. Very full-bodied, with powerful intensity and velvety mouthfeel. Great with rich, succulent dishes or even chocolate.
