About the Wines

Les Acacias Sauvignon Blanc, Domaine Guy Allion 2018
Loire, France

Fruit for this Sauvignon Blanc is picked at night to ensure optimal freshness. Clear and bright robe with a beautiful pale yellow colour with green glints. On the nose, the wine exalts pronounced aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers characteristic of this grape, such as elderflower, as well as notes of boxwoods. On the palate, the wine is supple and well balanced with a certain raciness. Great length on the palate, and nicely balanced on a fresher style of the Sauvignon Blanc.

4 20 Trebbiano d`Abruzzo, Torri Cantine 2019
Abruzzo, Italy

This Trebbiano is made all the more appealing by it’s simplicity. A dry white from Northern Italy, it shows primary notes of lemon, green apple and basil on the nose, with those same characteristics coming through on the palate. The palate is fresh, dry and lightly bitter – it is that verve the finish makes this so enjoyable. A perfect pairing with seafood.

Rosé French Ambush, Domaine de Cabrials 2019
Languedoc-Roussillon, France

Located in the heart of the Languedoc-Roussillon, in the South of France, Domaine de Cabrials lies on chalk and clay terraces to the west of Beziers. Cabrials’ present mansion was built in the 19th century on the site of a medieval castle; its castle still is occupied, and its large vineyard is farmed by Bernard Julien. The Domaine has a beautiful 19th-century cellar with huge oak casks, today used for the ageing and storage of the wines, this Rose is fairly dry with plenty of berry flavours, nice clean finish too.

Malbec, Camarada 2020
Mendoza, Argentina

From Luján de Cuyo Commune, 15 kms south of Mendoza city. 960 m above sea-level, on the eastern slope of the foothills. Argentina’s trademark grape variety, although originally known in South of France especially for ‘Cahors’. Characteristically intense red colour and aromas of cherries, aged in French oak for 3 months. Great structure, fine and approachable, great with a steak.

Pinot Noir, Domaine de Cabrials 2018
Languedoc-Roussillon, France

It is not easy to find Pinot Noir from the Languedoc let alone one of such quality and good value as this example from Domaine de Cabrials. Savoury and intense with aromas of red fruits herbs spice and some vegetal hints. The palate is soft with herb and spice flavours, light to medium-bodied.

Cabernet Sauvignon Senza Solfiti, La Cantina Pizzolato 2019
Veneto, Italy

The Cabernet Sauvignon Senza Solfiti, as the name suggests, has been vinfied and bottled with no added sulphites. Organic vineyard practices, and rigorous winemaking techniques make this possible. Aromas of summer fruits on a slightly herbaceous backdrop. Full-bodied and robust on the palate, will stand up to truffle and oily dishes.
