Cabernet Merlot, Pitchfork 2016
Margaret River, Australia

This traditional blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is from Margaret River where the climate is maritime and similar to that of Bordeaux. The wine has good concentration with ripe berry fruits and impressive mid palate fleshiness. It is soft and round with ripe tannins on finish.

Foreign Correspondent, Heartland 2018
Langhorne Creek, Australia

A good foreign correspondent brings us stories from around the world to enlighten us and broaden our understanding of the world. Heartland Foreign Correspondent brings international grapes and sets them in an Australian context to bring our wine drinkers

Stickleback Red, Heartland 2015
Langhorne Creek, Australia

Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz give this wine a rich, savoury character and good structure. A splash of Lagrein contributes spice and tannin. The tightness and structure of the Lagrein, pulls the wine together and balances the sweeter spice.

Spice Trader, Heartland 2014
Langhorne Creek, Australia

Soft, smooth and delicious, the Spice Trader is a genuine expression of what Langhorne Creek has to offer. Dark fruits such as blueberries and blackberries are decorated by spice, fresh oregano and dill. The Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are fermented separately with specific parcels included for their ability to offer greater complexity and character. Time in barrel permits a softening of the wine’s structure. It also offers a complex expression of the fruit and helps the exotic notes of spice to be discovered.
