Cahors, Château du Cèdre 2018
Pascal and Jean-Marc Verhaeghe produce excellent Malbec from these established vineyards. Drawing on his winemaking experience from California to Burgundy, Pascal delicately chisels wines of great elegance, rounding them off with judicious aging in new oak barriques. This is a fresh and enlivening organic Cahors, with generous flavours and made from a blend of 95% Malbec and 5% Merlot grapes. Showing flavours of plums, cherries and blackberries and spices, with a long finish.
