Bandol Rouge, Domaine Terrebrune 2006
The 2006 vintage of the Bandol Rouge is gamey and meaty on the nose, with hints of leather, smoked meat and wood. Fresh, juicy and layered palate, with a savoury rather than fruity profile. It’s all about liquorice, anise and medicinal notes, so typical of Bandol. Stylistically, this is a more lithe and fresher example, with very fine tannins and lovely pencil shaving quality. Drinking very well now.
