About the Wines
Appassimento Ca`Vittoria Gold Release 2019
This smooth, juicy Primitivo is full of Southern Puglian character. The vineyards are based in Salento where the grapes can achieve early and full ripeness. With medium body, ripe, sun blushed fruit, a touch of spice and soft velvety texture.
Shiraz, Pitchfork 2018
Margaret River, Australia
Time and time again, the Shiraz from Pitchfork punches well above its weight. Vibrant and youthful with a brilliant hue of good depth. Ripe cherry and plum fruits on the nose, with smooth chocolaty influences.
The palate displays good depth of fruit concentration, ripe sweet fruit fleshiness in the mid palate and good flavour extension.
Rioja Jovén, Hazaña 2018
This Joven is bright ruby red in colour, with pronounced toast and vanilla on the nose, on account of having spent six months in the new French and American oak barrels. The palate delivers sweet berry fruit flavour, all kept in check with a freshness on the finish.
Château Mazetier, Côtes de Bordeaux 2018
The Château Mazetier offers such great value Bordeaux. Beautiful deep, purple in colour with ripe red fruit on the nose and just a touch of toast. On that palate, a fleshy attack with so much depth. A persistent finish with elegance throughout.
Cahors Cèdre Heritage Malbec, Château du Cèdre 2018
South West, France
A fresh and enlivening organic Cahors, with generous flavours and made from a blend of 95% Malbec and 5% Merlot grapes. Showing flavours of plums, cherries and blackberries and spices, with a long finish.
Protea Merlot, Anthonij Rupert Wyne 2018
Franschhoek Valley, South Africa
The Protea Merlot offers up boisterous black fruit aromatics on the nose, with hints of blueberry, cherry and undertones of chocolate. There is a juiciness to the palate marked by supple tannins.
